Jessica's Dance Recital

I am definitely behind in blogging, but with the kids home full time now and photo shoots to proof it has fallen to the bottom of the list. Tonight I am finally sharing more from Jessica's recital. She was in two dances, one jazz and one ballet. The first one was the jazz one. She would ask people before the recital which of her dances they thought they would like better- almost everyone said Jazz ahead of time- but in the end Ballet was the dance of choice, I think because of her solo. I did not do a great job of taking pictures of her during the dress rehearsal, mostly because I was enjoying watching her dance.

The girl next to Jessica used to be one of her best buds in preschool. But they live in the next town over and since preschool never see each other much anymore. So when they started class in the fall together her mom and I were so excited and truly they had no idea who the other person- oh well.

Here is the edited version of her Jazz Dance- I got rid of the non Jessica parts. Jessica overhead me speaking with another mother the day before about how the kids never smile. You will see she is making a real effort to smile.



Her Jazz Dance was #9 and her Ballet Dance was #31- it was a LONG wait between these dances. We brought Justin with us to the recital, hoping Marc would get out of work early and come grab him. Justin watched both of Jessica's dances and played on his DS with his headphones on the rest of the time- thank you Nintendo! Jessica loved Ballet.

The recital was VERY long- 3.5 hours. We stayed until the bitter end to see Jessica get her trophy. Grandmommy and Dee came to the dress rehearsal and Aunt Sheri and her friend Brian came to the recital on Saturday. After Jessica's solo we all screamed and hooted for her- she loved it. She has decided to do dance again next year- woo hoo!
