Anything Goes Night

Friday night was Anything Goes night for the first graders at Jessica's school. It is a fun parent/ child night. Last year Marc went with Jessica so it was my turn this year. They divide the participants into 4 teams, blue, yellow, red and green. We were on the blue team. Basically they set up a bunch of fun relays for everyone to do. We didn't know too many people on the blue team, so we were happy when Katelyn and her dad sat down next to us.

Relay #1: the spoon and ball- here is the pass off to Jessica.
Here are Jessica and I getting ready to lead off the balloon stuck between us relay. (Thank you to Todd who took these pictures of Jess and I.)
In this next relay the parents pull the kids across they gym on a scooter. The parents are warned not to run and pull too fast (as if that would be a problem for me) it seems in the past some parents get a little over eager and end up tossing their child off the scooter, right Jenn?
At the end each team has to come up with a team cheer. Without missing a beat Jessica and Katelyn decided our team cheer should be "Let's go Blue, let's go" clap clap. They then dispursed this information to the group before the team captain even had a chance- he was relieved. Here they are giving it their all.
We had a great time and we were already talking about how fun it will be when Justin is in Kindergarten and gets to do Anything Goes night.

And what a cute blue shirt Miss Jessica chose as her team attire. Hurray for random bday gifts!
